The route from Yeghegnut to Debet village is an easy 5-kilometer hike. This section of Armenia's National Trail offers a chance to experience rural life, passing through both villages. In Yeghegnut, the trailhead sign is in the village center, where you'll find a grocery store and a water fountain. After a brief strall along the main street, the trail turns onto the village's dirt roads. It winds through old cottages, tiled roofs, and fruit orchards before entering forested areas. The trail skirts the upper slopes of the mountain, offering beautiful views of the surrounding valleys. 

As you descend towards Debet village, you'll see the COAF SMART educational center with its innovative building on the left. The trail continues through sparse forests and shrubs towards Debet. During the descent, the path briefly merges with a narrow, paved road before returning to footpaths. Debet village, located in a picturesque valley, offers various options for accommodation, some of which you can see before reaching the village center. Crossing a small stream via a bridge, the trail ends near Debet's main bus stop. Here, you can easily find a comfortable guesthouse for an overnight stay or continue the route to the mountain-top village of Chkalov.

In the center of Yeghegnut, near the trailhead, there is a water fountain. Another water source is located in the center of Debet village, about 150 meters from the end of the trail, behind the grocery store.
