Hiking used to be a hobby for Arshak. Now, it’s his profession. When he’s not leading groups of hikers across Armenia, or organizing sports summer camps for children, he’s managing the adventure tourism department of a local travel company. Arshak is a certified mountaineer and rock climber, with extensive training and experience in adventure tourism, and even has some medical training from his time serving in the military. He is based in Yerevan. Arshak is co-founder and board member of the Armenian Mountaineering and Hiking Federation, and a member of the Hatis Mountaineering Club. Arshak describes himself as social, flexible, and easily able to navigate different situations and make quick decisions.
