Hike Something Epic

  • Located 15km away from Tatev Monastery near the isolated village of Tandzaver, this loop trail is home to Armenia’s first land art museum - an open air museum of art made using the natural environment. Art lovers, this trail is for you!
  • We’re not sure how old this trail exactly is, but we know it’s old, potentially ancient. It’s so old that there are early Iron Age tools scattered about!
  • You’d never think there was a trail that ascends the impressive cliffs near Hovk village in Dilijan National Park. But there is, and for hikers looking for a real challenge, this loop will take you up tight switchbacks to a meadow in the sky.
  • This trail starts in the village of Dsegh, birthplace of an Armenian writer Hovhannes Tumanyan. Passing through a local forest, the trail takes you all the way to the main regional highway, and loops back to the village following a beautiful river valley.
  • This trail is named after a well-known Soviet Armenian film, based on a famous poem by the same name. Whether you’re familiar with the film or not, you’re sure to love this trail, which takes hikers through lush forests and beautiful monastic ruins.
  • This easy loop in the beautiful Vayots Dzor Province will take you from the semi-abandoned village of Old Martiros and back. There are lots of cultural artifacts and natural sights along the way!
  • Make your way through a rocky river canyon to a 10th century monastery, where you can camp, stargaze, and wake up to the sound of church bells and the chants of monks.
